Spouse-Star Matching in Bazi Compatibility

Overview

Spouse-star matching in Bazi compatibility (合婚中的配偶星匹配, Hé Hūn Zhōng De Pèi Ǒu Xīng Pǐ Pèi) compares role-star evidence only after the convention is declared for each chart. Classical systems often assign Wealth to a man’s spouse role and Officer or Seven Killings to a woman’s spouse role; contemporary readings may use question-specific or role-neutral conventions. These are interpretive policies, not biological facts. Locate the selected star, assess its strength, position, structure, useful function, and natal contacts, then compare it with the other chart without claiming that the other person literally is that star. A match cannot establish gender, orientation, attraction, character, fidelity, marriage, or outcome.

Declare the spouse-star policy before locating any match

State whether the reading uses the classical gendered convention, a role-neutral convention, or a question-specific star. Apply the same declared policy consistently rather than switching after seeing the charts.

Record when a convention does not fit the person or question. Traditional role labels describe a symbolic method and must not overwrite self-identified gender, orientation, or relationship structure.

  • Make the interpretive policy visible.
  • Do not infer identity from a Ten-God label.

Assess each role star inside its own natal chart

Identify the relevant element and polarity from the Day Master, then inspect revealed and hidden occurrences, strength, placement, structure, combinations, control, useful function, and counterevidence.

Absence, multiplicity, mixture, or damage is not a count of partners or a moral judgment. First describe what the symbolic role can and cannot support in that chart.

  • Derive the role independently in both charts.
  • Never convert star count into partner count.

Compare the other chart without personifying the star

A comparison may ask whether the other Day Master or recurring elements form a named relation with the selected role star. List the exact participants and keep natal evidence separate from cross-chart evidence.

Elemental resemblance does not mean that the other person is the star, supplies it, or fulfills its promise. Check the complete charts, spouse palaces, timing, and observed relationship behavior separately.

  • Show the exact relation rather than a “matching type.”
  • Keep people distinct from symbolic roles.

Reject identity, fidelity, and marriage claims

Spouse-star matching cannot determine attraction, gender, orientation, personality, loyalty, number of partners, legal marriage, abuse, fertility, or duration. It cannot diagnose someone who did not provide data.

Use the method only to form conditional questions about role expectations. Consent, behavior, communication, agreements, and safety evidence must govern real decisions.

  • Do not publish a spouse-star match score.
  • Direct evidence outranks symbolic resemblance.
