How to Read a Bazi Compatibility Score
Audit the inputs, components, weights, missing-data policy, and uncertainty behind a score, and never treat false precision as proof of relationship quality or safety.
Overview
A Bazi compatibility score (合婚分數如何看, Hé Hūn Fēn Shù Rú Hé Kàn) is an editorial summary produced by a declared model; it is not a classical universal constant or a scientifically validated probability of relationship success. A useful score must expose its birth-data assumptions, calendar engine, component definitions, directionality, weights, duplicate-evidence policy, missing-data handling, timing window, and rounding. It should also show the underlying findings and contradictions, because two methods can assign different numbers to the same charts. No threshold can approve a marriage, diagnose compatibility, certify safety, or predict love, fidelity, divorce, or duration.
At a glance
- Score type
- A declared editorial model, not a universal constant
- Required disclosure
- Inputs, rules, direction, components, weights, rounding
- Deduplication
- Shared symbols and contacts count once per evidence family
- Missing data
- Must reduce scope or confidence, never earn neutral points
- Human evidence
- Consent, conduct, goals, safety remain outside the score
- Cannot certify
- Love, success, fidelity, safety, marriage, divorce, duration
Identify the model before reading the number
Confirm the birth inputs, time policy, chart engine, included layers, direction of each relation, timing interval, and model version. Scores from different methods are not directly comparable.
Ask whether the number represents a sum, weighted index, band, or editorial label. If the formula is hidden, the number cannot be independently audited.
- Require a versioned and reproducible method.
- Do not compare numbers from unlike models.
Inspect components, weights, and duplicate evidence
Review the finding behind every component and why it receives that weight. Separate Day Masters, spouse palaces, role stars, relations, useful functions, and timing rather than counting one contact several times.
Show favorable, difficult, neutral, contradictory, and unsupported findings. Missing birth time or unresolved rules must lower coverage or confidence, not be silently scored as average.
- Trace every point to one evidence family.
- Expose neutral, missing, and contradictory data.
Read a score as a navigation aid, not a verdict
Use the number only to locate which reviewed components need attention, then read the explanations and limits. A small numerical difference is usually rounding or model sensitivity, not a meaningful relationship gap.
Compare symbolic findings with communication, values, behavior, plans, power, and safety directly. Those facts should not be converted into hidden astrological points.
- Prefer component explanations over rank.
- Keep real-world evidence outside the formula.
Reject pass/fail thresholds and false precision
No score can prove love, attraction, consent, fidelity, abuse, safety, marriage quality, fertility, divorce, or duration. A high score is not permission and a low score is not a prohibition.
Important relationship, health, legal, or financial decisions require direct evidence and appropriate support. Publish uncertainty and methodology instead of marketing certainty.
- No marriage-approval cutoff.
- Never present a score as scientific probability.
