Jyeshtha Nakshatra: Scorpio’s Final Degrees
Read Jyeshtha’s final Scorpio sector, the 0° Sagittarius transition to Mula, and how an uncertain birth interval can change the opening period lord.
Overview
Jyeshtha spans 16°40′–30° sidereal Scorpio, or 226°40′–240° total longitude. It is associated with Mercury in Vimshottari. Exactly 240°, or 0° Sagittarius, belongs to Mula rather than Jyeshtha.

Why the final Scorpio degree must be retained
A short result showing only “Scorpio Moon” does not identify Jyeshtha; the earlier Scorpio degrees belong to Vishakha and Anuradha. Conversely, a rounded “30° Scorpio” needs normalization and the original precision before lookup.
The star’s Mercury association is distinct from Mars’s ownership of Scorpio. It is not proof of communication skill, seniority or authority. Those qualities cannot be inferred as factual biography from a coordinate label.
A birth interval straddling the endpoint
Suppose a hypothetical time-uncertainty check produces a possible Moon interval from 239°59′ to 240°01′. Its first end is Jyeshtha pada 4 in Scorpio; its second is Mula pada 1 in Sagittarius. Both labels remain possible under that uncertainty.
The opening Moon-based Vimshottari lord would accordingly be Mercury or Ketu. Selecting one because its narrative sounds right would hide the calculation uncertainty. Better birth-time evidence or an explicitly retained pair of scenarios is needed.
Does a boundary imply danger?
No. The fact that a sign and a nakshatra end together establishes a coordinate transition, not a risk to a child, parent or partner. Any named traditional boundary doctrine requires its own declared definition and cannot be converted into a medical or safety verdict.
For the reproducible part of the task, compare the same Moon reference, civil-time conversion and ayanamsa. Keep the exact interval of uncertainty rather than substituting a confident single-star description.
