Uttara Ashadha Nakshatra: Sagittarius to Capricorn

Overview
Uttara Ashadha extends from 26°40′ Sagittarius to 10° Capricorn, or 266°40′–280° total sidereal longitude. Pada 1 is in Sagittarius; padas 2–4 are in Capricorn. The Vimshottari lord is the Sun in the 27-sector framework used here.

Why Uttara Ashadha has two sign contexts
The first quarter lies in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius and the remaining three in Saturn-ruled Capricorn. A nakshatra name without the degree does not tell you which ruler owns the Moon’s sign. The Sun’s timing association remains the same across both.
Do not confuse this sector with Purva Ashadha, which precedes it and belongs to Venus in Vimshottari. The full name matters when reconciling a chart table or setting up a period sequence.
A Moon at the Capricorn entrance
A hypothetical Moon at 270° total longitude is 0° Capricorn. It has traveled 3°20′ from Uttara Ashadha’s 266°40′ beginning and enters pada 2. It is not in Shravana, whose interval starts at 280°.
Three quarters remain, yielding 6 × 3/4 = 4.5 dasha years of the Sun in the cited Moon-based method. The sign change does not switch this nakshatra’s opening lord to Saturn.
What about Abhijit?
Some specialized techniques introduce Abhijit in a 28-star framework. That does not remove or redefine this equal-sector interval by default. State the named technique and its exact boundaries before comparing it with the standard 27-nakshatra table.
A software result should reveal which framework it used. Do not silently mix a 28-star label with the four-pada arithmetic shown here, and do not turn a traditional success narrative into a guaranteed outcome.
