Overview

Revati is the twenty-seventh nakshatra, spanning 16°40′–30° sidereal Pisces, or 346°40′–360° total longitude. Mercury is its Vimshottari lord. The ending 360° is excluded and normalized to 0° Aries, the start of Ashwini.

What does being the last nakshatra mean?

It identifies the final entry in this coordinate sequence, not the age, spiritual rank or destiny of a person. Revati covers only the last 13°20′ of Pisces; earlier Pisces positions belong to the two Bhadrapada sectors.

Jupiter rules Pisces while Mercury supplies Revati’s Vimshottari association. Their roles remain distinct. A Mercury-ruled star does not establish a Mercury conjunction or make Mercury the ruler of the Pisces sign.

The final arcminute and the circular wrap

For an invented Moon at 359°59′, the sign position is 29°59′ Pisces and the star is Revati pada 4. Only one arcminute remains before the 800-arcminute sector ends. At exactly 360° the normalized value is 0° Aries: Ashwini pada 1.

The Moon-based Revati balance at 359°59′ is 17 × 1/800 = 0.02125 dasha years. Do not create a nakshatra number 28 by dividing the unnormalized 360° value. These are classification exercises, not timed observations of a birth.

What if the displayed coordinate is rounded to 360°?

Retain the unrounded value used by the calculator. A display rounded upward can show 360° even if the actual position is still slightly below the boundary. Lookup should use the actual coordinate, not a manually copied short display.

A correct circular boundary does not guarantee safe travel, protection or a particular life ending. Traditional narratives need separate attribution, and safety decisions require ordinary evidence rather than a final-star label.
