Shravana spans 10°–23°20′ sidereal Capricorn, or 280°–293°20′ total longitude. Its Vimshottari lord is the Moon; Saturn rules Capricorn. The named sector and a physical star are not the same kind of object.

What does Shravana mean on the position list?
It marks a point within a specified 13°20′ interval of the sidereal zodiac. A chart may put the Moon, Sun or another point there. Only a natal Moon placement conventionally makes Shravana the birth nakshatra.
Saturn’s ownership of Capricorn and the Moon’s timing association are separate columns. They do not prove a Moon–Saturn conjunction. Inspect actual planetary positions before adding any relation to the chart.
The beginning of Shravana pada 3
Use an invented Moon at 16°40′ Capricorn, or 286°40′ total longitude. Its offset from the sector’s 280° beginning is 6°40′ = 400 arcminutes, placing it exactly at pada 3.
Half of the 800-arcminute sector remains. Under the cited birth-Moon method, that gives 5 dasha years of the Moon. The calculation is independent of whether a traditional interpretation of Shravana feels familiar to the reader.
Does a name about listening measure a skill?
A traditional association with listening is not an auditory test, a diagnosis or proof of learning ability. Evaluate actual communication and hearing concerns through appropriate real-world evidence. The interval table establishes none of those personal outcomes.
For coordinate disagreements, compare sidereal settings and unrounded longitude. A physical star’s observed position or an irregular constellation boundary is not a replacement for this declared equal-sector table.
