Middle Qi in Hidden Stems (中氣)

Overview
Middle Qi (中氣) is an additional internal stem placed after the primary qi in certain multi-stem branches. It preserves a transitional or supporting layer in the branch. The label describes table position rather than a universal strength percentage; exposure, season, roots, and interactions decide whether it becomes prominent.

Locate middle qi only where the table provides it
Multi-stem branches contain ordered internal layers. The second stem can be called middle qi in methods that use the primary-middle-residual distinction.
Single-stem branches have no middle qi, and a two-stem branch should not be padded with an invented third layer. Use the exact table adopted by the system.

Calculate its own Ten God and root relation
Middle qi retains its stem polarity, so its Ten God may differ from the primary qi in the same branch. It can also root a matching visible stem.
A branch therefore can carry several Ten God relationships at once. Display them separately instead of assigning the whole branch one label.

- Keep simultaneous relationships visible.
Explain why middle qi matters in this chart
Exposure, repetition, seasonal transition, or support from other pillars can make a middle layer more usable. Damage to the branch or strong competing relations can reduce it.
The page should name the condition instead of claiming that middle qi always has a preset fraction of the primary qi’s strength.
