Overview
Roots Affected by Combination (根氣被合) describes root support located in a branch that participates in a valid combination. A pairing may bind attention or redirect some qi, while a successful transformation requires additional conditions. The hidden stem is not automatically deleted. Record the combination status, target element, season, root layer, and remaining support before changing any conclusion.

Name the root and the exact combination
Identify the visible stem, its root-bearing branch, the partner branch or branches, and the interaction status. A theoretical pair not present or suppressed by stronger topology is not an active condition.
Keep the branch’s original hidden stems in the evidence record even when a transformation model reallocates energy.
