Overview
Roots Affected by Break (根氣被破) are roots inside a branch participating in a recognized Six Break or destruction pair. In a bounded model, an active break may reduce branch integrity or available qi, but the original hidden stems remain part of the natal record. Check interaction status, season, root layer, and other support before revising strength or structure.

Verify the pair and interaction status
Match the two branches against the selected Six Break table and identify which pillar carries the root. A single branch or inactive theoretical relation cannot damage support.
If the same nodes also clash, combine, or punish, keep each interaction and its resolution status separate.

- Use resolved topology, not raw pair matching.
Apply a bounded integrity adjustment
An active Break can contest the root-bearing branch, but a reliable model does not remove the branch or every hidden stem. Preserve a before-and-after view.
The magnitude should come from a disclosed rule and cannot be inferred from the dramatic English word “break.”

- Disclose any numerical penalty.
Recalculate only the conclusions that use this root
Recheck the target stem’s support, then strength or pattern validity if those calculations depend on the affected root. Do not rewrite unrelated chart facts.
Other roots and seasonal support may preserve enough evidence for the prior conclusion.
