Overview

Birth-Stage Half Trine (生地半合) joins the birth and cardinal branches of a Three-Harmony group: Shen–Zi Water, Yin–Wu Fire, Hai–Mao Wood, or Si–You Metal. The cardinal branch gives clear phase direction, but the storage member remains absent. Season, roots, exposure, distance, and damage decide practical force.

Use only birth-to-cardinal pairs

Match the pair to its Water, Fire, Wood, or Metal parent trine.

Do not classify birth-to-storage pairs as canonical half trines without declaring another school rule.

  • Name the parent group.
  • Record the absent storage member.

Let the cardinal branch anchor direction

The center branch provides a clearer phase focus than two arbitrary group members.

Season, roots, exposure, and proximity still determine whether that direction becomes usable.

  • Identify the cardinal center.
  • Test phase support.

Audit clashes and competing groups

Either member may enter harmony, meeting, punishment, harm, break, or clash.

State which structure occupies or damages a branch and preserve residual status.

  • Map all overlaps.
  • Do not double-count force.

Keep the missing member missing

A future branch may complete the trine only during that timing layer.

生地半合 alone cannot prove a relationship, opportunity, illness, movement, or success.

  • No imagined third branch.
  • No event guarantee.
