Six-Destruction Pairs and Reading Order (六破配對與判讀順序)
Learn the common Six-Destruction pair table, its school-sensitive status, and how to weigh actual structure without predicting collapse.
Overview
A common Six-Destruction table uses Zi–You, Chou–Chen, Yin–Hai, Mao–Wu, Si–Shen, and Wei–Xu. Because lineage usage and weighting vary, the convention must be declared. The relation is assessed through actual branches, positions, season, roots, competing edges, and timing; the word “destruction” is never sufficient evidence of an event.

Declare the destruction table
Verify the pair against the adopted Six-Destruction convention.
Because schools differ in emphasis, publish the table rather than presenting it as an uncontested universal rule.
- Name the convention.
- Use exact branch pairs.
Assess contact and support
Record pillar distance, season, roots, repetition, and whether one member is time-supplied.
A weak remote pair should not receive the same weight as repeated, adjacent, seasonally supported contact.
- Scale by evidence.
- Date timed activation.
Keep harmony and other relations visible
Yin–Hai and Si–Shen are also Six-Harmony pairs under the standard table.
Coexisting labels require a stated resolution method; neither word automatically cancels the other.
- Publish simultaneous labels.
- Explain residual force.
Do not forecast destruction
六破 cannot alone prove breakup, bankruptcy, property damage, illness, sabotage, or failed plans.
Use restrained language about weakened continuity only when the broader chart supports it.
- No literal ruin.
- No event prediction.
