Overview

The Six Harms are Zi–Wei, Chou–Wu, Yin–Si, Mao–Chen, Shen–Hai, and You–Xu. The table identifies a technical relation, not an event. A reproducible reading records both branches and layers, compares strength and position, resolves simultaneous combinations or clashes, and returns a bounded effect with uncertainty.

At a glance

Pairs
Zi–Wei, Chou–Wu, Yin–Si, Mao–Chen, Shen–Hai, You–Xu
Detection
Exact pair plus pillar and chart layer
Force evidence
Season, roots, proximity, repetition, and support
Overlap
Harmony, clash, punishment, destruction, trine, or meeting

Harm does not prove betrayal, illness, or injury

Match only the six canonical pairs

Identify both branches and their positions before interpreting the label.

A general difficult phase relation is not automatically 六害.

  • Use the fixed table.
  • Name natal or timing origin.

Compare structural relevance

Season, roots, repetition, and proximity affect how prominent the pair is.

Pillar roles can identify the symbolic area contacted, but cannot establish a real-world victim or perpetrator.

  • Measure both sides.
  • Keep role language non-literal.

Resolve combinations and conflicts together

Several harm pairs also appear within other branch groups or interact with their own clash partners.

State whether another relation binds, amplifies, redirects, or simply coexists with the harm.

  • Keep concurrent edges.
  • Explain the chosen priority.

Avoid fear-based translation

六害 cannot alone predict betrayal, hidden enemies, chronic illness, accident, divorce, or financial loss.

Use it as a limited relation signal and verify practical claims independently.

  • No hidden-enemy claim.
  • No high-stakes certainty.
