Conditions for Earthly-Branch Trines (三合局成立條件)
Use a strict formation order for Three-Harmony groups: three distinct members, chart layer, cardinal center, season, roots, continuity, clashes, and conversion.
Overview
A full Three-Harmony group requires the birth, cardinal, and storage branches of one canonical trine. Three distinct nodes establish membership; timing ownership, Month Command, cardinal support, roots, exposure, climate, distance, and clashes determine practical force. Group detection and phase transformation remain separate statuses.

Verify complete and distinct membership
Match one of the four canonical groups and require all three different branches.
A duplicated character cannot substitute for the missing birth, cardinal, or storage member.
- Use the fixed group table.
- Reject duplicate-node completion.
Record natal and timing ownership
A natal full set differs from a group completed by a Luck Pillar or annual branch.
Timing completion is valid only for its bounded period and should return to baseline afterward.
- Label every member’s layer.
- Give timing evidence an expiry.
Test center, season, roots, and damage
The cardinal branch, Month Command, matching roots, exposure, and continuity strengthen the group.
Clashes, stronger meetings, and counter-phases can damage or redirect it without erasing membership.
- Assess formation and force separately.
- Keep damaged status visible.
Apply a higher threshold to phase conversion
Transformation requires the target phase to dominate surviving source evidence under a declared policy.
A trine cannot independently predict personality, health, wealth, relationships, or events.
