How a Combined Month Command Affects Strength (月令被合對旺衰的影響)
Learn how a Month Branch combination can connect or redirect seasonal qi, when transformation applies, and why the original command is not automatically erased.
Overview
A combined Month Command (月令被合) means the Month Branch participates in a recognized branch combination. The relation can bind, connect, redirect, or—when stricter conditions are met—transform seasonal emphasis. It does not automatically remove the original Month Command. Strength analysis must separate combination from transformation, test season and interference, and recalculate roots and support without double-counting.

Identify the exact relation involving the Month Branch
Name the partner branch or full assembly and whether the relation is Six Harmony, Three Harmony, half combination, or another declared set.
A nearby compatible branch is not enough. Exact members and natal scope must be verified.

- Label complete and partial states.
Separate binding from transformation
Test whether the resulting element receives season, roots, exposure, and freedom from decisive interference under the adopted method.
If the gate is not met, the branches may still relate without replacing their original qi. Preserve that intermediate reading.
