Month Command (月令, Yue Ling) is the seasonal authority represented by the Month Branch at the birth time. It is a primary reference for climate, Five Element availability, structure, and Day Master strength, but it is not a one-factor verdict. Month Command names the seasonal condition carried by the Month Branch, not the visible Month Stem. It anchors the chart in the phase of the solar year present at birth.
The branch must be assigned from the applicable solar-term boundary. A lunar calendar month label or civil month number is not a substitute for that calculation.
