Exposed stems (透干) make an elemental or Ten God force visible in the Heavenly Stem layer, often giving hidden qi a clearer route of expression. Exposure can strengthen the evidentiary case for support, drain, control, or structure, but a floating unrooted stem may remain fragile. A proper reading links the exposed stem to roots, season, generation, combinations, and opposition.
