Overview
An annual clash activates the natal chart when the annual branch and a named natal branch form one of the Six Clashes under the published year boundary. Detection must identify both branches and the contacted pillar. Interpretation then considers hidden stems, palace role, competing combinations, the annual stem, and active Luck Pillar. A clash marks a technical opposition; it does not prove movement, conflict, separation, illness, or loss.

Confirm the exact Six-Clash pair
Calculate the annual branch after the declared Bazi year boundary and compare it with each named natal branch.
Only a registered opposite pair qualifies; proximity, element difference, or a dramatic story does not create a clash.

Preserve the contacted natal pillar
A clash to the Year, Month, Day, or Hour Branch reaches a different natal location and cannot be moved to another palace.
