Overview
Transitioning into a new Luck Pillar means the deterministic timeline has crossed from one dated stem-branch period to the next. The previous and new pillars must remain visible with their exact boundary date, calculation version, and any school-specific transition convention. The new layer changes which timed symbols interact with the natal chart, but it does not erase the prior period or guarantee an abrupt external event.

Use the calculated date as the state boundary
The active Luck Pillar should be selected from stored start and end dates, not from a rounded age label or the calendar year alone.
At the boundary, show the outgoing and incoming Jiazi so the change can be audited and reproduced.

Only the timing layer changes
The natal Four Pillars remain frozen. The new timed stem and branch introduce different Ten Gods, roots, and stem-branch contacts for the new interval.
