Overview

A reliable timing reading begins with verified birth inputs and a fixed natal chart, then states the natal mechanism relevant to the question. Next it selects the active Luck Pillar by exact dates, examines how that pillar changes access to the natal mechanism, and finally adds the complete annual Jiazi. Monthly, daily, and hourly layers are optional refinements. Each layer keeps its own source and interval; later symbols do not rewrite natal classifications or count twice when they repeat.

Start with verified natal evidence

Confirm birth time, location, time zone, calendar boundaries, and the four natal pillars before interpreting timing.

State the relevant natal pathway using named stems, branches, roles, formation criteria, and counterevidence.

  • Freeze deterministic birth data.
  • Define the question before timing.

Add the active Luck Pillar by exact interval

Use the declared direction and start-age method to select the pillar actually active on the question date.

Read its complete stem and branch against the natal chart, including roots, Ten Gods, relations, support, obstruction, and transition dates.

  • Publish start and end dates.
  • Keep transition uncertainty visible.

Add the annual Jiazi without collapsing layers

Compare annual stem and branch with the natal chart and active Luck Pillar, preserving every source layer.

Repeated symbols may show convergence, but they are not independent evidence and must not receive automatic duplicate weight.

  • Name annual participants.
  • Separate convergence from duplication.

Stop at the confidence the evidence supports

Use shorter cycles only when they answer a defined timing question and broader layers already converge.

Publish the mechanism, interval, supporting and contrary evidence, uncertainty, and practical boundary rather than a guaranteed event date.

  • Allow an inconclusive result.
  • Match confidence to evidence.
