Timing Events with Annual Influences
Build annual timing from natal evidence through Luck Pillar and annual contacts, require converging signals, and avoid event guarantees.
Overview
Annual event timing in Bazi should be treated as a hypothesis built from layered evidence, not as a date promise. First establish the natal symbol or relationship relevant to the question. Then verify whether the active Luck Pillar makes that pathway available and whether the annual Jiazi repeats, completes, supports, or disrupts it under explicit rules. Monthly or daily layers may narrow an already supported window, but they cannot rescue a missing premise.
At a glance
- Step 1
- Define question and natal premise
- Step 2
- Verify active Luck-Pillar pathway
- Step 3
- Test annual Jiazi contacts
- Step 4
- Require converging evidence
- Optional refinement
- Monthly and daily layers
- Boundary
- Window, not event guarantee
Start with a specific question and natal premise
Define the symbolic pathway being investigated, such as a named Ten-God role, palace, structure, or relation, before looking at dates.
If the natal premise is absent or depends on an undeclared school rule, an annual contact cannot create it retroactively.
- Write the question before the result.
- Require a documented natal anchor.
Test layers from long to short
Confirm the active Luck Pillar and its dates, then calculate the complete annual Jiazi and its exact relations to the natal and Luck-Pillar symbols.
Use monthly, daily, or hourly layers only to refine a supported window, keeping every symbol tagged with its source.
- Follow natal → Luck Pillar → year → shorter cycles.
- Preserve provenance and dates.
Require convergence and publish counterevidence
Confidence may rise when independent stem, branch, role, palace, and timing clues support the same technical pathway.
Competing combinations, missing components, boundary uncertainty, and contradictory chart functions must remain visible; do not cherry-pick the hit.
- Use more than one independent clue.
- Record misses and alternatives.
An activation window is not a promised event
The method cannot guarantee marriage, conception, illness, death, profit, litigation, employment, accidents, or any other outcome.
Do not reverse-engineer a rule after an event or use symbolic timing to delay care, ignore consent, or take unbounded financial and legal risk.
- No exact-event warranty.
- Avoid hindsight fitting and harmful action.
