Overview

The natal chart is the fixed reference for annual analysis. Add the year stem and branch as a separate dated layer, derive their roles, and test their contacts with the Four Pillars, roots, structure, palaces, and useful functions. An annual influence can emphasize or obstruct an existing pathway but cannot rewrite the birth chart.

Freeze the natal evidence first

Record the Month Command, Day Master strength, structure, roots, palaces, useful functions, and original relations before adding the year.

This prevents a temporary symbol from being mistaken for a birth-chart feature.

  • Keep natal findings immutable.
  • Preserve their evidence and version.

Overlay the full annual Jiazi

Derive the annual stem role and branch hidden stems, then test generation, control, combinations, clashes, punishments, harms, and breaks with natal symbols.

Use only registered rules with named participants and retain incomplete, blocked, or competing conditions.

  • Read both annual characters.
  • Store exact relation evidence.

Describe a dated change in availability

The year may supply a root, repeat a role, complete a formation, expose a conflict, or constrain a useful pathway.

State which natal mechanism changes, for what interval, and with what confidence instead of describing the whole person differently.

  • Bind findings to the year.
  • Keep counterevidence visible.

A yearly overlay does not cause events

Annual contacts do not prove medical, financial, legal, relationship, career, family, or safety outcomes.

Use the analysis for cultural learning and reflection, and use present facts and professional guidance for real decisions.

  • Avoid biography back-fitting.
  • Do not replace qualified advice.
