Explain school-dependent Minor Luck Cycle methods, require an explicit calculation policy, and prevent them from being mixed with Luck Pillars.
Overview
Minor Luck Cycles are a school-dependent timing layer used in some Bazi traditions, often to provide year-by-year Jiazi before or alongside major Luck Pillars. There is no single implementation that can be assumed across all sources: direction, starting point, age convention, and relation to the Hour Pillar can vary. A reliable page names the method, reproduces its inputs and sequence, and keeps it separate from major Luck Pillars and annual influences.

Acknowledge method variation
Classical and modern schools do not all derive Minor Luck Cycles with the same starting pillar, direction, or age convention.
Do not publish a sequence simply titled Xiao Yun without identifying the source rule and version used.

Make the selected sequence reproducible
Record the birth inputs, reference pillar, forward or reverse direction, starting age, and inclusive-age convention.
Generate each Jiazi deterministically and attach a clear date or age interval instead of leaving an unlabeled list.

Keep three timing layers distinct
Major Luck Pillars provide one longer framework, annual influences provide the calendar year, and Minor Luck Cycles follow the selected school’s supplementary sequence.
If a product displays more than one layer, it must label each source and define whether and how they are compared.

Adding a shorter sequence does not prove childhood events, annual outcomes, health, wealth, relationships, or safety.
