How Daily Influences Work

Calculate a dated daily Jiazi under a declared day boundary, use it only to refine supported timing hypotheses, and avoid daily event guarantees.

Overview

A daily influence is the dated stem-branch pair for one effective Bazi day. It is calculated on the continuous sexagenary day cycle after time-zone, civil-calendar, and day-boundary policies are resolved. It can refine a mechanism already supported by the natal chart, Luck Pillar, annual influence, and sometimes monthly influence; it cannot create a missing mechanism or replace the natal Day Pillar. A daily contact is not proof that an event will happen that day.

Calculate the effective daily Jiazi first

Resolve the civil date, IANA time zone, historical offset, and declared midnight or Zi-hour day boundary before indexing the sexagenary cycle.

Publish the effective interval and tested anchor so neighboring days advance exactly one pair and a sixty-day offset returns the same pair.

  • Preserve the boundary version.
  • Test both sides of the changeover.

Keep the daily layer separate from the natal Day Pillar

The daily stem and branch remain a dated timing layer with their own Ten Gods, hidden stems, and branch contacts.

They never overwrite the birth Day Pillar, Day Master, or natal spouse palace, even when the characters repeat.

  • Label natal and daily provenance.
  • Do not mutate frozen birth data.

Use a day only to refine converging evidence

Start with a named natal mechanism and verify support from the active Luck Pillar and annual layer before consulting a day.

Record exact participants, formation conditions, competing relations, and counterevidence rather than scanning each date for an attractive symbol.

  • Move from longer to shorter cycles.
  • Allow no timing conclusion.

A daily contact is not an appointment with fate

It cannot guarantee a payment, meeting, diagnosis, conception, conflict, accident, legal result, or another person’s action.

Use schedules, consent, records, safety procedures, and qualified professional advice for consequential decisions.

  • Avoid lucky-day certainty.
  • Never delay care or obligations.
