Hourly Influence in Bazi
Calculate the two-hour branch and derived hour stem under a declared time model, then use the result as a narrow timing layer.
Overview
An Hourly Influence assigns a stem-branch to a specific instant. The branch follows the declared double-hour boundaries and the stem is derived from the applicable day stem. Correct output therefore depends on date, clock time, timezone, historical offset, and any disclosed true-solar-time policy. It is the shortest common Bazi timing layer and should only refine an established analysis, never certify an outcome.

Resolve the instant before deriving the hour
Convert the instant using its actual timezone and historical offset, then apply the product’s civil or true-solar-time policy.
Assign the double-hour branch and derive the hour stem from the applicable day stem; both boundary policies must be reproducible.
- Require an unambiguous instant.
- Publish civil-versus-solar policy.
Keep the Hourly Influence distinct from the natal Hour Pillar
The birth Hour Pillar remains part of the frozen natal chart, while the Hourly Influence belongs to a current or selected instant.
Tag every stem, branch, Ten-God role, and relation with its source so the two hour layers cannot be confused.
- Do not overwrite birth data.
- Display temporal provenance.
Use hours only for final refinement
Start from natal, Luck Pillar, annual, monthly, and daily evidence before asking whether the hour repeats or completes a mechanism.
Because an hour is brief and boundary-sensitive, report exact start and end times and lower confidence when time data is uncertain.
- Read from long to short cycles.
- Expose interval and uncertainty.
Do not use an hour as a safety certificate
An Hourly Influence cannot guarantee success, consent, medical safety, market performance, travel safety, or freedom from accidents.
Follow clinical instructions, legal deadlines, market risk controls, and ordinary safety practice rather than a symbolic hour label.
- Reject guaranteed lucky hours.
- Never delay urgent care.
