Case Method for the Six Clashes
Analyze the six fixed branch clashes through participants, layer, force, pillar position, overlapping relations, possible effects, timing, and boundaries.
Overview
A Six Clashes case begins with one of the six fixed opposing Earthly-Branch pairs. It records pillar position, natal or timed layer, seasonal strength, roots, hidden stems, shared relations, and whether the contact opens, moves, disperses, activates, or fails to dominate. A clash is a structural opposition, not an event label. It does not by itself prove conflict, divorce, accident, relocation, illness, death, litigation, or loss.

Verify pair, position, and layer
Identify the canonical opposing pair, pillar positions, natal or timed source, season, roots, hidden stems, and strength of both sides.
Do not invent a clash from generic element overcoming. Timestamp cross-layer contacts.
- Use the fixed clash table.
- Label natal and timing participants.
Classify the technical effect
Test whether the contact activates, moves, opens, disperses, exposes, redirects, or remains limited given the prior state and supporting force.
A verbal effect requires a real mechanism, such as a stored or bound component being changed. Do not choose the effect after seeing an event.
- State the pre-contact state.
- Define the effect before biography review.
Resolve simultaneous relations
Map harmonies, punishments, harms, breaks, triple frames, roots, and rescue that share either branch.
Do not assume harmony cancels clash or that clash destroys harmony. Compare conditions and preserve partial outcomes.
- Keep every valid edge.
- Report unresolved priority.
Separate opposition from disaster
A Six Clash does not establish interpersonal conflict, divorce, accident, relocation, illness, death, legal action, or financial loss.
Use direct evidence and appropriate professional support for safety, health, legal, and relationship decisions.
- No disaster prediction.
- No accusation or diagnosis.
