Overview

A stable reading order prevents a memorable event or symbol from controlling the entire Bazi case. Validate inputs and calculate the four pillars first. Establish the Day Master, Month Command, seasonal state, roots, revealed and hidden stems, Ten Gods, strength, candidate structures, useful functions, and stem-branch relations before adding Luck Pillars and annual or monthly timing. Only then compare the technical analysis with observed evidence. The exact priority may differ by school, so the case must name its method and revision rules. Skipping ahead to an event, Fate Star, clash, or desired conclusion invites hindsight bias and double-counting.

At a glance

Stage 1
Validate inputs and freeze deterministic calculation
Stage 2
Establish natal reference, season, roots, strength, and structure
Stage 3
Assess useful functions and stem-branch relations
Stage 4
Add Luck Pillars and narrower timing layers
Stage 5
Compare observed evidence, alternatives, and counterexamples
Control
Declare school-specific priority and revision rules

Freeze inputs before interpretation

Audit date, time, place, time-zone history, calendar conversion, day boundary, and true-solar policy. Store the resulting four pillars as a versioned snapshot.

If multiple input scenarios remain, carry them forward. Do not choose one because it produces a more persuasive story.

  • Separate records from derived pillars.
  • Retain every material scenario.

Complete the natal baseline

Identify Day Master and Ten Gods, Month Command and seasonal state, roots, revelation, hidden stems, effective relations, strength, and candidate structures.

Test formation, damage, rescue, transformation, and counterevidence before selecting useful functions. One vivid relation cannot replace the natal baseline.

  • Establish conditions before labels.
  • Keep rejected candidates visible.

Add timing only after the natal model is stable

Calculate Luck Pillars under a declared direction and start-age convention, then apply annual and narrower layers to the natal chart. Record which layer introduces each symbol.

Do not let a known event rewrite the natal conclusion. If timing exposes a contradiction, revise through an explicit rule and preserve the prior reasoning.

  • Attribute every timing influence.
  • Version revisions rather than rewriting history.

Compare evidence and bound the conclusion

Match only pre-defined technical themes and dates, record misses and ambiguous matches, and consider alternative explanations. State what the chart did not establish.

Use direct facts for health, law, finance, safety, conduct, and relationships. The case reading is a traditional interpretation, not a factual verdict.

  • Report hits, misses, and ambiguity.
  • No consequential conclusion beyond evidence.
