Yuan Hai Zi Ping (淵海子平, Yuān Hǎi Zi Píng) is a major transmitted collection in the Ziping tradition. It brings together foundational discussions of the Day Master, Ten Gods, structures, strength, useful functions, verses, mnemonic rules, and worked judgments. Surviving editions are layered compilations rather than a single modern textbook with one authorial voice, so a claim should identify the chapter, verse, edition, and commentary used. The text is valuable for tracing named rules and historical vocabulary, but its aphorisms require their original conditions, counterrules, and whole-chart context. It does not validate deterministic predictions or replace calendar calculation, textual comparison, or present-day evidence.

Treat the work as a transmitted collection
The title refers to a body of Ziping material that reached readers through compilation, rearrangement, and reprinting. A passage in one edition may be absent, placed elsewhere, or worded differently in another.
Do not assign every verse to one historical speaker or date. Record the edition and visible section before discussing authorship, chronology, or doctrinal priority.
