Overview
Di Tian Sui (滴天髓, Dī Tiān Suǐ) is a compact classical work whose terse verses became influential through later commentaries and case explanations. Readers commonly encounter principles concerning heavenly and earthly dynamics, stems and branches, strength and decline, source and flow, clarity and mixture, conformity and opposition, body and use, and special forms. The root text, commentary, and illustrative cases must be identified separately because later explanations often supply the operative rule. Its strength is relational whole-chart reasoning rather than a fixed percentage or isolated keyword. A responsible citation names the verse, commentator, edition, and interpretive step, preserves disagreement, and does not use poetic language as direct proof of events or traits.

Separate the root verse from commentary and cases
The base verses are compressed and often do not state every operational condition. Later commentators expand terms, choose examples, and sometimes disagree about what the verse requires.
A quotation should identify whether it comes from the root text, a specific commentary, or a case note. Do not attribute a commentator’s conclusion to the anonymous or disputed core text.

Recalculate the chart under a stated calendar policy, distinguish supplied history from inferred history, and test whether the same conclusion survives alternative readings.

Keep poetic language and modern claims apart
Metaphors of climate, purity, illness, battle, or flow describe a traditional symbolic model. They do not diagnose a body, moral character, danger, or inevitable fortune.
Use the text to explain a declared interpretive framework. Use direct data and qualified advice for health, law, finance, safety, and consequential life choices.
