Privacy and Consent for Bazi Cases
Use specific, informed, revocable consent; minimize third-party data; protect minors; secure source records; and define correction or withdrawal paths.
Overview
Consent for a private reading is not automatically consent for a public case study, search indexing, translation, model training, or indefinite reuse. A case workflow should explain the data, purpose, audience, channels, identifiability, risks, retention, and withdrawal process in language the participant understands. Collect only necessary information, obtain separate permission for quotations or media, and minimize third-party details. Children and vulnerable people require heightened safeguards. Consent does not erase privacy risk, waive safety duties, or authorize claims about people who did not participate.

Ask for publication-specific consent
Explain exactly what will be published, where, for whom, in which languages, whether search engines can index it, and how long it may remain.
Do not bundle a reading, account terms, marketing, research, and public case publication into one vague acceptance.
- Make consent granular.
- Use understandable language.
Minimize data and protect absent people
Collect and publish only information necessary for the stated teaching purpose. Remove private facts about partners, children, relatives, employers, and other third parties.
A participant’s consent does not authorize disclosure or inference about someone who did not participate.
- Protect third-party data.
- Avoid unnecessary sensitive details.
Use heightened safeguards for vulnerable contexts
Apply stricter review to minors, dependency relationships, coercion risk, and health, legal, financial, sexual, or safety information.
Where voluntary consent is doubtful or potential harm is high, do not publish even if a signature exists.
- Check power imbalance.
- Use a fail-closed decision.
Support correction, withdrawal, and secure retention
Document who approved what, restrict source records, set retention limits, and provide a clear contact path for correction or withdrawal.
Explain practical limits such as third-party archives, while taking reasonable steps to remove, deindex, or update controlled copies.
- Record consent versions.
- Plan the end of the data lifecycle.
