Structure Determination in Bazi Cases
Determine a Bazi case structure by publishing the candidate, formation evidence, damage, rescue, transformation, competing candidates, and school policy.
Overview
Structure determination in a Bazi case should be a documented classification process. Begin with the Month Command and the adopted school’s candidate rule, then list the required Ten-God or stem-branch members, revelation, roots, effective relations, purity or mixture, damage, rescue, and transformation. Keep rejected and competing structures visible. A name is not established merely because one matching Ten God appears, and a successful structure does not guarantee status or outcome. When schools use different candidates or thresholds, report them separately and identify the first divergence. The final output should state the structure, confidence, supporting and defeating evidence, and what new information would change it.
At a glance
- Candidate source
- Month Command or another explicitly declared school rule
- Formation evidence
- Required members, revelation, roots, and effective relations
- Failure evidence
- Damage, absence, diversion, mixture, or failed transformation
- Recovery evidence
- Rescue, control, combination, or timing support if permitted
- Required output
- Candidate, status, evidence, counterevidence, and alternatives
- Cannot establish
- Rank, wealth, virtue, occupation, or guaranteed outcome
Generate candidates under a declared rule
Identify how the school derives a candidate from Month Command, revealed influence, dominant configuration, or special formation. List every candidate that meets the initial trigger.
Do not start from the case biography and search for a flattering pattern. Candidate generation must depend only on chart evidence and stated rules.
- Publish the candidate-generation rule.
- Keep all qualifying candidates.
Test formation, damage, and rescue
For each candidate, record required members, roots, revelation, support, control, output, purity, mixture, combinations, transformation, and any disqualifying condition.
Separate “present,” “formed,” “usable,” “damaged,” “rescued,” and “changed.” These are stages, not interchangeable adjectives.
- Use a staged status model.
- Show both enabling and defeating evidence.
Resolve competition without erasing alternatives
Apply the adopted priority when multiple candidates survive. If another school selects differently, retain both outputs and identify the exact rule or threshold that diverges.
Do not combine mutually exclusive structures into a more impressive title. An uncertain or mixed result should remain explicit.
- State the priority source.
- Do not hide mixed or unresolved status.
Keep structure names technical
Structure success and failure describe the internal model, not a person’s social class, competence, virtue, wealth, career, marriage, or fate quality.
Observed achievements do not retroactively prove the structure. Use direct evidence for life conclusions and present the case as bounded traditional analysis.
- No status or worth inference.
- No outcome validation by biography alone.
