Approaching the Official is the workbook name for 向祿臨官, a rare San Ming Tong Hui example-based configuration. Its cited chart links Day-Branch Resource, an Officer stored in the branch, seasonal Earth generating Metal, and a western Metal route. The surviving passage does not provide a complete universal table, so the name cannot be assigned from one Officer, Lu, storage, or luck-cycle token. San Ming Tong Hui introduces 向祿臨官 with a short verse and the chart Wu Xu, Ji Wei, Yi Chou, Ding Chou. Its explanation reads Gui in the Day Branch as Resource, Metal storage as Officer evidence, late Wei-month Earth as generating Metal, and western movement as approaching the useful Officer route.
That example preserves a chain of relations rather than a full lookup table for every Day Stem. A responsible definition must therefore identify the cited edition, reproduce the relevant chart facts, and label any broader generalization as a school-specific reconstruction rather than original text.
