What Is Flying Heavenly Lu Horse (飛天祿馬) in BaZi?
Learn the four eligible days, repeated Zi or Hai branches, hidden Officer target, holding branch, binding and filling blockers, and OpenFate limits.
Overview
Flying Heavenly Lu Horse is the workbook standard name for 飛天祿馬. Here “Lu Horse” is historical office-and-rank language, not the Traveling Horse fate star. The source allows only Geng-Zi, Ren-Zi, Xin-Hai and Gui-Hai days in the pure winter Water setting, with no visible Wealth, Officer or Resource. Repeated Zi branches are said to clash Wu and draw out Ding or Ji Officer for Geng or Ren; repeated Hai branches clash Si and draw out Bing or Wu Officer for Xin or Gui. The chart also needs exactly one suitable branch to combine with and hold the target. A branch that binds the repeated Zi or Hai, a visible Officer, or the target Wu or Si already filling the chart weakens the old concealed-clash rationale. OpenFate has no detector for this nonstandard aggregate.

Four eligible days use two different repeated-branch routes
Geng-Zi and Ren-Zi use repeated Zi in the winter Water setting. The old theory says Zi clashes the absent Wu branch: Ding inside Wu is Geng’s Officer, while Ji inside Wu is Ren’s Officer. Xin-Hai and Gui-Hai instead use repeated Hai to clash the absent Si branch, whose Bing or Wu supplies the respective Officer.
The repeated branch must occur again through the month and hour or through another stated pillar pairing so the text can speak of a joint clash. One matching day alone is not enough. The four routes also retain different Day Masters, hidden targets and binding relations.

- Map the hidden target Officer from the actual Day Master.
Concealment, repetition, one holding branch and freedom from binding all matter
The source requires the relevant Officer to remain unexposed and the target Wu or Si not to be filled. It wants one branch from the stated combining set to retain the drawn-out target, but says multiple holding branches no longer fit. These are historical symbolic conditions, not physical extraction of a hidden object.
Chou can bind Zi and Yin can bind Hai, preventing the repeated source branch from carrying out the supposed clash. A visible Officer, target filling, other binding stems or branches, and later luck can also change eligibility. Each blocker must identify its participant rather than becoming a generic “clash failed” tag.

OpenFate calculates valid pillars, hidden stems, Ten Gods, branch clashes, combinations, seasonal context and luck participants. It can confirm the visible pieces of the four classical examples.
It does not create a missing Wu or Si branch, extract an Officer from it or publish Flying Heavenly Lu Horse. Implementation would require a source-versioned rule table, repetition count, absence semantics, one-holding-branch rule, blockers, timing and negative fixtures. Existing report behavior remains unchanged.
