What Is Facing Worry Without Worry (當憂不憂) in BaZi?
Learn how season, self strength, Fire control or stem combination can neutralize an apparent Seven Killing, when rescue fails, the Ren-Day example and limits.
Overview
Facing Worry Without Worry is the workbook’s English name for 當憂不憂. The passage starts with a Jia Day Master meeting Geng or Shen Seven Killing, then says the concern can be reduced when spring supports the self and Metal is confined, when Bing-Ding or Yin-Wu Fire controls Metal, or when Yi/Mao combines the Geng route away. Rescue must be effective: a weak Yi in autumn or Fire resting on Water may fail to control or combine. The worked chart Bing-Yin, Wu-Xu, Ren-Xu, Gui-Mao uses Gui to combine the Wu Killing and other branch relations as additional evidence. OpenFate does not declare the pattern or a safety verdict.

A Killing label is only the starting condition
For Jia, Geng or Shen represents Seven Killing and would traditionally raise concern. The entry immediately asks whether season and the rest of the chart leave that Killing able to act.
“Worry” is classical rhetoric, not a prediction of danger or a description of the user’s emotional state.

Only effective seasonal weakness, control or combination counts as rescue
Spring strength for Jia while Metal is confined, usable Bing-Ding or Yin-Wu Fire, and a valid Yi-Geng combination are the named routes. Each requires its normal seasonal, root and interaction conditions.
The source explicitly warns that weak Yi in autumn or Fire placed over Water may fail. The Ren-Day example uses a different Wu-Gui combination and supporting branch logic, so it must be shown as a worked variant rather than a universal shortcut.
