What Is Year Pillar Warlord (年上七殺) in BaZi?

Overview
Year Pillar Warlord is the workbook standard English name for 年上七殺, a San Ming Tong Hui discussion of Seven Killing exposed in the year stem. The passage distinguishes one year Killing from repeated Killing: one well-positioned instance may not need the same control policy, while repeated power requires stronger review. Day-Master strength, Yang Blade combination, Wealth support, clashes, overcontrol, insufficient control and Officer–Killing mixture can change the result. The ancestral-servant metaphor reflects an old social framework and cannot establish family class or inherited character. The pattern does not prove poverty, nobility, public office, early success, punishment, bereavement, loyalty or destiny.

The year-stem position changes the source’s control and purity discussion
The passage treats one Seven Killing in the year as a distinct position and says it need not be controlled by rote when the Day Master is strong and the chart is coherent. Repeated Killing, however, changes the condition and can require control.
The text uses ancestor, old minister and servant imagery to explain the year position. These are historical analogies, not facts about grandparents, household origin, inherited poverty or a person’s obedience.

Day-Master capacity, Blade, Wealth, control, clash and mixture decide the route
The Day Master must have real support. Yang Blade can combine or engage Killing, and Wealth can strengthen the power route, but both require structural context. Severe clash, weak self and excess Killing can make the same placement hard to carry.
Too much control, too little control and Proper-Officer mixture are separate failures. Luck cycles can increase self, Killing, Wealth or control, but natal eligibility should be fixed before timing is discussed.

Year Pillar Warlord does not prove humble birth, noble descendants, inherited office, loyalty, intelligence, early success, poverty, punishment, bereavement, public service, aggression, health or lifespan. Historical class language should not be repeated as personal fact.
Family, legal, employment and financial decisions need records, conduct, qualifications and current conditions. Do not shame ancestry, forecast punishment or promise government access from one year stem.
