Overview

Turning Away from Lu, Not Poor is the workbook’s English name for 背祿不貧. Here “turning away from Lu” means the Officer relation is seasonally weak and further controlled by Food God or Hurting Officer; the same Output may still generate Wealth. The source gives Jia-Yi seeing Bing-Ding and Bing-Ding seeing Wu-Ji as a generating sequence, then uses Ren-Gui born in Yin-Mao months to describe Wood strong and Fire emerging while Earth Officer is out of season. The route fails when wet Wood over Ren-Gui, Hai or Zi cannot kindle Fire, and Seven Killing can remain a blocker. Ren-Zi, Ren-Zi, Ding-Wei, Wu-Shen relies on hidden Geng Wealth and a contested Ding-Ren transformation chain, not a universal formula. OpenFate does not promise that the chart is “not poor.”

The entry redirects attention from weakened Officer to Output-generated Wealth

The passage calls Officer the Lu being turned away: it is out of season or controlled by Output. It then asks whether that Output has a valid generating path into Wealth.

The phrase “not poor” is a classical outcome label. It is not a financial calculation and cannot substitute for income, assets or liabilities.

  • Identify Officer, Output and Wealth from the actual Day Stem.
  • Trace generation rather than relying on the pattern name.

Output must be able to generate a living Wealth relation

The Ren-Gui seasonal route depends on spring Wood being able to generate Fire while Earth Officer has lost season. It is not enough merely to see Wood or Fire characters.

The text explicitly rejects wet Wood that cannot ignite and warns about Seven Killing. Its Ding-Day example further depends on hidden Geng Wealth and a debated combination-transformation explanation that must remain source-labelled.

  • Test season, dryness, roots, Wealth vitality and Killing interference.
  • Label the worked transformation as a source-specific reading.

OpenFate shows the generating chain without assigning a wealth class

The engine can calculate Officer, Food God, Hurting Officer, Wealth, hidden stems, season, combinations and strength.

There is no Turning Away from Lu, Not Poor detector. The historical name does not modify wealth scoring, reports, saved charts or account data.

  • Display every link and blocker in the chain.
  • No wealth tier, poverty flag or report mutation.

A generating chain cannot guarantee prosperity or immunity from loss

Traditional verses promise great wealth or describe disaster when the route fails. Neither is a verified financial forecast.

Do not promise income, investment return, business success, promotion or protection from hardship. Use budgets, contracts, risk controls and qualified financial advice.

  • No wealth, return, promotion or business guarantee.
  • No prediction of ruin, disaster or personal harm.
