Overview

Fire-Earth Mixture is the standard English name for 火土夾雜. The passage says Earth can darken Fire and Fire stored within Earth can become obscured, so it favors Fire remaining intelligible as Fire and Earth retaining its own role instead of the two becoming a muddy, indistinguishable mass. It provides three worked charts but no complete Day-Pillar lookup. Ordinary Fire generating Earth is not automatically this pattern; season, roots, quantity, dryness, hidden stems and useful relations must show that mixture actually obstructs function. OpenFate does not declare the pattern.

The entry describes loss of functional clarity, not every productive cycle

Fire normally generates Earth in the Five-Element cycle. The warning begins only when Earth dims Fire or Fire is buried so completely in Earth that their separate functions cannot be read clearly.

The source gives three four-pillar examples. They illustrate the concern but do not authorize a new allowlist or a conclusion from one adjacent Fire-Earth pair.

  • Separate normal production from obstructive mixture.
  • Treat the examples as evidence, not as the only possible charts.

Season, amount, dryness and useful relations decide whether mixture obstructs

Month Command, Fire roots, Earth volume, dryness and moisture, hidden stems and Wood or Water mediation can change the relationship. “Mixed” must be demonstrated in the whole chart.

Counterevidence matters: supported Fire may still express, and Earth may retain a useful role. The label should remain unconfirmed when the chart does not show actual obscuration.

  • Display Fire support, Earth load, climate and mediation.
  • Publish counterevidence before any pattern conclusion.

OpenFate calculates the ingredients but does not convert them into a negative label

The engine exposes elements, hidden stems, Month Command, strength, climate signals and interactions for review.

There is no Fire-Earth Mixture detector. Matching an example or seeing abundant Earth does not alter useful elements, reports, scores or saved charts.

  • Keep deterministic element evidence separate from the source overlay.
  • No automatic negative flag, scoring penalty or report change.

Obscured imagery does not establish intelligence, character or life quality

The source uses insulting language about dullness and ordinary status. Those judgments reflect historical rhetoric, not a valid assessment of cognition, morality or worth.

Do not rate intelligence, personality, education, health, career, wealth or social value. Important choices require direct skills, records and professional evidence.

  • No intelligence, morality, personality or health rating.
  • No education, career, wealth or status prediction.
