What Is Stem and Branch Flourishing (干支持旺) in BaZi?

Overview
Stem and Branch Flourishing is the standard English name for 干支持旺. It requires one of five exact routes: Jia or Yi day in a Hai-Mao-Wei month with Yin or Mao hour; Bing or Ding day in a Yin-Wu-Xu month with Si or Wu hour; Wu or Ji day in a Si or Wu month with a Chen, Xu, Chou or Wei hour; Geng or Xin day in a Si-You-Chou month with Shen or You hour; or Ren or Gui day in a Shen-Zi-Chen month with Hai or Zi hour. The rule describes stem and branch returning to one elemental direction; it is narrower than ordinary Day-Master strength. OpenFate calculates the parts but does not declare the pattern.

Each route combines Day Stem, month group and Hour Branch
The lookup is not satisfied by any two matching elements. It begins with the actual Day Stem pair, then requires the stated month group and one of the listed Hour Branches.
The Earth route is transmitted differently: Wu or Ji uses a Si or Wu month and an Earth-store hour. It must not be silently replaced with a generic Earth three-harmony bureau.

Directional coherence is narrower than a generic strong chart
The source describes the root returning to its direction and relying on its own force. Ordinary strength can arise through many other combinations and should retain its own evidence model.
