What Is Roaring Dragon and Howling Tiger (龍吟虎嘯) in BaZi?

Overview
Roaring Dragon and Howling Tiger is the workbook’s English name for 龍吟虎嘯. The source gathers several routes under one heading: Yin as Tiger and Chen as Dragon; Ren meeting Yin and Geng meeting Chen without clash; and an attributed rule that pairs Wu-Chen with Jia-Yin in two differently described directions. It prefers the pattern in Day and Hour, then Day and Month, and warns about void, stem–branch break and clash. The cited Wang chart does not reproduce every narrow pair, confirming that the passage is a compilation rather than one universal formula. The heading contains multiple textual routes
One line praises the joint appearance of Yin and Chen. A second names Ren with Yin and Geng with Chen, while requiring repeated stems and branches without conflict. A third attributed passage discusses Wu-Chen and Jia-Yin as Dragon and Tiger examples.
These routes overlap but are not interchangeable. A chart with only Yin and Chen does not automatically prove the stem route, and the Wu-Chen–Jia-Yin pair should not be expanded into an unsupported table.
