What Is Follow Wealth Pattern (從財格) in BaZi?

Overview
Follow Wealth Pattern is the English name for 從財格. Classical texts describe a Day Master without an effective root or same-side support facing an overwhelmingly dominant Wealth side, so the chart is read by following Wealth. This is not the same as Direct Wealth Pattern or Indirect Wealth Pattern selected from the month command, and it is not established by a weak Day Master, many Wealth stars or real-world income. OpenFate evaluates Wealth dominance and composition, roots, residual Self and Resource support, month command and implemented interactions, then distinguishes formed 從財格 from 從財未純. Product thresholds remain bounded implementation policy rather than universal classical law.

A true follower claim needs dominant Wealth and no effective independent base
Di Tian Sui treats true following as a strict condition: the Day Master is isolated and weak, lacks effective support, and the followed force is exceptionally strong. San Ming Tong Hui and Yuan Hai Zi Ping likewise warn that a remaining root changes the claim.
The review must identify Wealth’s seasonal and structural dominance, the month command, Day Master roots, visible and hidden Peer or Resource support, and interactions that either reinforce Wealth or restore the Day Master. Counting Wealth stars is not enough.

Follow Wealth is not Direct Wealth or Indirect Wealth Pattern
Standard Wealth patterns begin with a Wealth candidate from the effective month command and ask whether the Day Master can carry a workable structure. Follow Wealth asks the opposite structural question: whether the chart lacks a viable independent base and follows the dominant Wealth side.
Output generation, authority pressure, Peer competition, Resource support, combinations and transformations can change either analysis, but the route must be named. A chart should not receive both labels merely because Wealth is prominent.

OpenFate keeps 從財格 and 從財未純 distinct
OpenFate checks Wealth-side dominance and composition, Day Master support, roots, month command, visible and hidden opposition, and implemented interactions. Only the strict result is labeled 從財格; an incomplete but meaningful candidate remains 從財未純.
The returned evidence and blockers explain the status. Internal numeric thresholds support deterministic product behavior but are not published as ancient formulas, financial probabilities or silent overrides of saved reports.

Following Wealth does not mean being rich or money-driven
The pattern does not prove high income, assets, inheritance, business talent, investment skill, frugality, greed, materialism, marriage prospects or social class. Symbolic Wealth is not a bank balance or a personality test.
Investment, lending, tax, hiring, property and relationship decisions require current records, consent and qualified professionals. Never promise money or encourage risk because of a follower label.
