Overview

Stem-Branch Dual Link is the workbook’s English name for 干支雙連. The source illustrates two complete pillars whose Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches both move by one position: Jia-Wu with Yi-Wei, Bing-Shen with Ding-You, Wu-Xu with Ji-Hai, and Jia-Zi with Yi-Chou. It also gives Geng-Wu with Xin-Wei and associates Jia or Geng with the noble branches Chou and Wei, and Yi or Xin with Zi and Wu. The aliases “Two Principles Noble Pair” and “Linked-Pearl Fortune Spirit” belong to that source rhetoric. A final note distinguishes advancing and receding qi by the order of Bing-Yin and Ding-Mao, but the compact wording does not define a complete directional algorithm. OpenFate does not detect this pattern or let adjacency suppress other interactions.
