What Is Monarch-Minister Celebration (君臣慶會) in BaZi?
Learn the same-pillar-pair stem union, Six Harmony and same-xun rules, Jia-Xu/Ji-Mao examples, placement priorities and OpenFate boundaries.
Overview
Monarch-Minister Celebration is the workbook’s English name for 君臣慶會. The source requires the same two complete pillars to meet three conditions: their Heavenly Stems combine, their Earthly Branches form a Six Harmony pair, and both sexagenary pillars belong to the same ten-day xun. Jia-Xu with Ji-Mao and Wu-Chen with Gui-You are its explicit examples. The first two tests resemble Heaven-Earth Virtue Union, but the same-xun condition makes this a separate source category. The text favors an hour-involved union, then a day-involved union, and calls Year-Month or Day-Hour pairings a Double Mandarin-Duck Virtue Union. These rankings are historical conventions, not evidence of rank, loyalty or relationship quality. OpenFate displays the underlying pillars and combinations but does not issue this verdict.

Double union and same-xun membership must all refer to one pillar pair
The source calls the stem the ruler and the branch the minister. A qualifying pair combines on both levels and remains inside one ten-day segment of the sexagenary cycle.
A stem combination alone, Six Harmony alone, a pair drawn from different pillars or two double-union pillars from different xun do not meet this definition.
- Name the same two complete pillars in all three tests.
- Verify their exact sexagenary positions and xun.
Hour, day and adjacent-pillar priorities are source conventions
The text ranks an hour union first and a day union second. It gives special emphasis to Year-Month and Day-Hour pairs under another poetic label.
Placement does not prove authority, loyalty, teamwork or marriage quality. Transformation, contention, clash, distance and strength remain separate questions.
- Show pillar position without converting it into status.
- Keep all competing interactions visible.
OpenFate exposes the three inputs without adding a ceremonial score
The engine can calculate complete pillars, sexagenary positions, stem combinations, Six Harmonies and other interactions.
There is no Monarch-Minister Celebration detector. The article does not alter combinations, strength, reports, compatibility results or saved charts.
- Use existing pillar and interaction data.
- No new moral, loyalty, status or relationship flag.
The poetic name cannot prove social or political outcomes
The source’s verse promises honor, longevity and high office. Those claims are not established by a same-xun double union.
Do not infer leadership, loyalty, promotion, political power, social support, marriage quality, health or lifespan. Use observable evidence and qualified advice.
- No leadership, loyalty, promotion or political guarantee.
- No relationship, health, longevity or safety prediction.
