What Is Life-Death Embrace (生死相聚) in BaZi?

Overview
Life-Death Embrace is the workbook’s English name for 生死相聚. It pairs the yin and yang stems of one element at a branch where one stem is in Changsheng (Birth) and the other is in Death: Geng is born and Xin dies at Si; Jia is born and Yi dies at Hai; Ren dies and Gui is born at Mao; Bing dies and Ding is born at You. The source gives four complete chart sequences—Geng-Chen, Xin-Si, Geng-Wu, Xin-Si; Jia-Xu, Yi-Hai, Jia-Zi, Yi-Hai; Ren-Yin, Gui-Mao, Ren-Chen, Gui-Mao; and Bing-Shen, Ding-You, Bing-Xu, Ding-You. It does not give an Earth pair and its final same-element restriction is terse. OpenFate documents the exact pairs without predicting death or lifespan.

Birth and Death are Twelve Life Stage labels, not events
The method compares the yin and yang stems of one element at one named branch. One stem occupies Birth and the other Death under the source stage table.
The words do not mean that a person is being born or will die. They describe symbolic qi phases attached to stem-branch combinations.

- Keep life-stage labels separate from real events.
Use the four recorded pairs without inventing a fifth
Metal and Wood place the yang stem at Birth and yin stem at Death; Water and Fire reverse that polarity. The exact branch differs by element.
The passage gives no Earth pair and ends with a terse same-element restriction. Cross-element mixtures and unsupported Earth analogies remain unclassified.
- Use Si, Hai, Mao and You only with their recorded pairs.
