What Is Official Star Six Harmony (官星六合) in BaZi?
Learn the Jia Zi–Xin Chou and Ding Hai–Ren Yin examples, Officer-stem and Six-Harmony relation, same-xun enhancement, and OpenFate limits.
Overview
Official Star Six Harmony is the standard English name for 官星六合, a short San Ming Tong Hui rule that joins an Officer stem with an Earthly-Branch Six Harmony across two complete sexagenary units. The source gives Jia Zi with Xin Chou and Ding Hai with Ren Yin; belonging to one ten-day xun is described as an additional refinement, not the definition of every Liu He. The passage does not provide a complete Ten-Stem lookup table. This pattern is not established by one branch harmony, one Officer star, or two people whose branches combine, and it does not prove office, sponsorship, leadership, promotion, status, wealth, or success.

The source combines a stem relation and a branch relation in complete units
Jia Zi with Xin Chou contains Xin as Jia’s proper Officer and Zi–Chou as an Earthly-Branch Six Harmony. Ding Hai with Ren Yin similarly combines Ding’s Officer stem Ren with the Hai–Yin harmony. The transmitted examples therefore require more than adjacent or compatible branches.
The sentence adds that being within one xun is especially valued. It does not say that same-xun membership is always required, nor does it supply every possible Day-Master row. Any expanded table must identify its source and derivation rather than presenting symmetry as quotation.
- Verify the complete sexagenary units, Officer direction and branch harmony separately.
- Treat same-xun membership as the source’s stated refinement, not a generic Liu He rule.
Exact Officer identity, harmony integrity, position, qi and damage still matter
A valid review checks whether the stem is the correct Official for the adopted subject, whether the branches form the named Six Harmony, and whether both complete units occupy the relevant positions. Season, roots, transformation, competing combinations, clashes and void status remain material.
A Liu He can bind, transform, remain incomplete or be disrupted. An Officer can be useful, mixed, weak or damaged. Neither label guarantees the other, and two people’s branches combining is outside this one-chart source rule.
- Keep Officer identity, branch harmony and xun membership as separate evidence fields.
- Reject branch-only, stem-only and cross-person substitutions.
OpenFate calculates the ingredients but does not reconstruct the missing table
OpenFate can calculate pillars, Ten Gods, Six Harmonies, xun membership, voids, strength and branch interactions. It does not currently aggregate them into Official Star Six Harmony.
A detector would require a versioned full table, the rule’s subject and position policy, xun status, harmony transformation and damage precedence, counterexamples, and five-locale evidence. This article does not change chart or relationship reports.
- Do not infer the pattern from a generic Liu He badge.
- Require a reviewed table and negative fixtures before aggregate publication.
An Officer joined by harmony does not prove modern authority or patronage
Official Star Six Harmony does not prove public office, leadership, political access, employer favor, promotion, examination success, salary, class, integrity, relationship harmony, health, or destiny. Historical rank language is not an institutional prediction.
Hiring, promotion, education, finance, governance and relationship decisions require conduct, qualifications, consent and current evidence. Do not promise access or sell influence because two chart units match this example.
- Exclude office, patronage, promotion, exam, salary and class guarantees.
- Use qualifications, behavior and due process for real authority decisions.
