What Is Three Harmony Meets Noble (三合遇貴) in BaZi?

Overview
Three Harmony Meets Noble is the standard English name for 三合遇貴, also called the Hidden Officer pattern in its San Ming Tong Hui passage. The explanation says an Yi Day Master has no Geng Officer visible in the Heavenly Stems but obtains an Officer structure through the Si–You–Chou Metal Three Harmony. The transmitted chart line on the consulted page appears inconsistent with that explanation, so OpenFate does not silently repair it or publish a detector. The name does not guarantee wealth, office, patronage, promotion, or success.

The explanation invokes a hidden Officer through a full Metal combination
The passage says that an Yi Day Master uses Geng as Officer, has no Geng visible in the Heavenly Stems, yet obtains an Officer structure through Si–You–Chou combining into Metal. It therefore names the configuration 三合遇貴 and also 暗官格.
On the consulted Wikisource transcription, however, the printed chart line does not transparently display the same full triad. That discrepancy may reflect transmission, punctuation, or transcription error. It must be disclosed rather than silently corrected from the explanation.

A partial triad or visible Nobleman marker is not the same rule
The source logic depends on the three branches forming Metal that functions as the Yi Day Master’s Officer. One or two members of Si–You–Chou, an unrelated three-branch cluster, or a generic Tian Yi Nobleman marker does not reproduce that hidden Officer route.
A modern reconstruction must define full versus partial combination, seasonal support, transformation evidence, intervening clash, Day-Master relation, visible competing Officer or Killing, and structural precedence. The phrase “meets noble” cannot replace those checks.
