What Is Brocade Bestowed (錦衣特賜) in BaZi?
Learn the four Day-stem and Hour-branch sets, two complete examples, exact positional rule, source limitations and OpenFate product boundary.
Overview
Brocade Bestowed is the workbook’s English name for 錦衣特賜. Its verse gives four Day-stem and Hour-branch sets: Jia, Bing or Geng Day with Yin Hour; Bing, Geng or Ren Day with Si Hour; Geng, Ren or Jia Day with Shen Hour; and Ren, Jia or Bing Day with Hai Hour. It stresses that Day and Hour positions must not be confused. The source then gives Ren-Shen, Ji-You, Jia-Chen, Bing-Yin and Jia-Shen, Yi-Hai, Bing-Chen, Geng-Yin as examples of the Yin-Hour route. This is a precise lookup at two positions, not a general rule about any matching stem or branch. OpenFate does not currently issue a Brocade Bestowed verdict.

The verse contains twelve explicit Day–Hour pairings
Each of four Hour branches is paired with three Day stems. A transparent check reads only the actual Day stem and actual Hour branch against those stated sets.
A matching stem elsewhere or a matching branch outside the Hour pillar does not satisfy the positional rule.

The two recorded charts demonstrate the Yin-Hour route
The first chart has Jia-Chen Day and Bing-Yin Hour; the second has Bing-Chen Day and Geng-Yin Hour. Both match the first stem set and the deterministic Hour-pillar stem for that Day.
The short entry supplies no separate examples for Si, Shen or Hai Hour and no conflict, void or weighting policy.
