What Is the Year Pillar Executive or Sui De Direct Officer (歲德正官)?
Learn how Sui De Direct Officer is identified in the year pillar, why ordinary Direct Officer conditions still apply, and what the placement cannot prove.
Overview
Year Pillar Executive is the workbook name for 歲德正官, a San Ming Tong Hui arrangement that places the Day Master’s Direct Officer in the year pillar and judges it with the same purity, strength, Finance, Resource, and damage checks used for Direct Officer. Year placement does not prove early success, elite ancestry, inherited office, authority, career, character, family status, or public recognition.

Sui De Direct Officer is a placement-specific Officer configuration
The classical passage takes a Direct Officer relation found in the year pillar and calls it 歲德正官. “Sui De” here identifies the year-level placement; it is not the Sui De Fate Star and should not be merged with a general virtue-star lookup.
The rule begins by deriving Direct Officer from the Day Stem and locating that stem or effective relation in the year pillar. The year position supplies the special name, while the normal Officer evaluation determines whether the signal is usable.
- Identify the Day Master’s exact Direct Officer and year-pillar evidence.
- Keep the Officer placement distinct from similarly named Fate Stars.
Year placement does not bypass the Direct Officer formation rules
San Ming Tong Hui explicitly refers the reader back to the ordinary Direct Officer likes and dislikes. Day Master capacity, Officer purity, Finance generating Officer, Resource support, and seasonal viability remain relevant.
Seven Killings mixture, Hurting Officer, clash, punishment, combination that removes the Officer, weak roots, or an incompatible month-command structure may reduce the arrangement. A visible year Officer is a fact; a formed and useful route is a separate conclusion.
- Apply the same support and damage review used for Direct Officer.
- Do not infer pattern quality from pillar position alone.
OpenFate records year-pillar Ten Gods but not this special label
OpenFate can show the year stem, year branch hidden stems, their Ten-God relations, and the broader Direct Officer pattern evidence. It does not currently publish a dedicated 歲德正官 flag, grade, or timing forecast.
This article therefore provides a reproducible reading rule without changing reports. Automation would need a reviewed exposure policy, hidden-stem weighting, mixed-authority rules, structural precedence, fixtures, and explicit versioning.
- Use existing chart facts without claiming a dedicated result.
- Require a tested placement policy before adding automation.
The year pillar does not prove ancestry, early promotion, or authority
The configuration does not prove an official family, inherited employment, parental status, early fame, examination success, public office, executive ability, obedience, morality, salary, or legal power. A historical year-pillar narrative is not a verified family record.
Family history, education, hiring, promotion, and legal authority must be checked through direct records and fair processes. Do not grant status, deny opportunity, or judge a family because of a year-pillar Officer relation.
- Exclude ancestry, inheritance, early success, career, and character claims.
- Use records and current qualifications for institutional decisions.
