Overview

Day Lu Returns to Hour is the standard English name for 日祿歸時. San Ming Tong Hui accepts seven Day-Master and hour-branch routes: Jia with Yin hour, Ding with Wu, Wu with Si, Ji with Wu, Geng with Shen, Ren with Hai and Gui with Zi. Yi at Mao hour is classified as hour-position Indirect Wealth, Bing at Si hour as visible Officer, and Xin at You hour as hour-position Seven Killings, so those three are not folded into the returning-Lu rule. The principal wording expects no visible Officer, while a month-command Officer or stems revealing Wealth/Officer redirect the chart to ordinary Wealth and Officer analysis. Repeated Lu can become gathered Lu, mutual Lu or Jian Lu depending position; a repeated month Lu is not automatically this pattern. Punishment, clash, break, harm, void, decline, Rob Wealth, Dividing Lu and competing combinations also matter. OpenFate calculates every visible condition but has no Day Lu Returns to Hour detector.

Only seven Day-Master and hour-branch routes enter the base list

The mapping is exact: Jia uses Yin, Ding and Ji use Wu, Wu uses Si, Geng uses Shen, Ren uses Hai and Gui uses Zi. The hour stem is still calculated normally; the classical category is keyed to where the Day Master’s Lu lands.

Yi-Mao hour exposes Ji as Indirect Wealth, Bing-Si hour exposes Gui as Officer, and Xin-You hour exposes Ding as Seven Killings under the legal hour-stem cycle. The source therefore classifies them elsewhere instead of completing a ten-stem table.

  • Use the seven-item source map, not a guessed ten-stem expansion.
  • Match the hour position explicitly.

Visible Officer, month command and repeated Lu change the category

The opening rule says “without Officer.” If Officer appears through month command, or Wealth and Officer are revealed, direct ordinary analysis takes priority. Support from Resource, Wealth, Food God or Hurting Officer is evaluated within the full structure rather than as an automatic pass.

Lu repeated at the month can become Jian Lu; Lu on several positions can be gathered Lu, mutual Lu or another positional variant. Punishment, clash, break, harm, void, decline, Rob Wealth, Dividing Lu, Owl and binding also prevent a simple label.

  • Classify visible Wealth and Officer before the rare name.
  • Preserve positional Lu variants as separate states.

OpenFate calculates Lu positions without assigning this pattern

OpenFate can determine the legal Hour Pillar, each Day Master’s Lu branch, repeated Lu, month command, Ten Gods, clashes, punishments, void and competing pattern evidence.

It does not output Day Lu Returns to Hour. A future detector would need the seven-route map, the three exclusions, Officer absence, positional variants, blockers and ordinary-pattern precedence. Saved reports remain unchanged.

  • Fail closed outside the seven documented routes.

Returning Lu does not guarantee career or wealth

Historical praise such as “a road to the clouds” does not prove office, promotion, income, status, health, lifespan or a favorable event.

Career, financial, legal, relationship, medical and safety decisions require present evidence and appropriate professional advice.

  • Exclude rank, money and timing promises.
  • Use the entry as a technical source guide.
